Every aspect of it is really well done and I think it's a great representation of the series.Ģ) Legend of the Crystal Skull. If someone wanted to get into Nancy Drew and asked me which game to start with I think I'd recommend this one. We have amazing locations to explore and each of them feels unique. I feel like it's just overall a great classic game and it has everything I love about the series: interesting characters, good story, puzzles that are challenging but not frustratingly difficult. MID: After all this waiting this game damn well better be fantastic.ġ) Danger on Deception Island. SEA: Great characters, great /representation/, great soundtrack, great puzzles. LIE: The Underworld set was to die for (get it because the underworld ha ha pls laugh), and the soundtrack is beautiful. MED: The tiebreaker puzzle was so tense it actually made me give a shit about the outcome. SPY: If we're being honest, this is my favourite game. GTH: Great soundtrack, haunting history that sticks with you after the adventure ends, an extremely memorable ending. TMB: It's gimmicky, sure, but Nancy recovered the mummy's tomb in style, dammit!ĭED: One of the darker mysteries with an excellent investigation and an ending I did not see coming. SAW: HEARTBREAKING STORY, great vibe, creepy as all heck.ĬAP: Renate as a character is a highlight of the franchise.ĪSH: The birth of the one, the only, the reigning sovereign Deirdre Shannon. SCK2: They kept enough for nostalgia's sake and changed enough so new fans can appreciate Hector "Hulk" Sanchez in all his glory. TOT: I play that circuit fan game thing in my spare time and that's not even a joke. WAC: When I was about 11 I posted on the Her boards that I wanted a game set around a high school and this was everything I wanted it to be. They're not my favourite Nancy Drew games, but the puzzles were okay. HAU: The music is nice, and as much as I dislike the characters, Matt and Kyler's romance is pretty cute. I liked it best the first time I had to beat it, but the point still stands.ĬRY: Henry Bolet crying in the crypts represented my entire preteen existence. ICE: Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed Fox and Geese. I love every second of this game.ĭAN: Created the incredible catchphrase "rude" in its modern context. TRN: The soundtrack is unbelievable, the setting is unique, and the cast of characters are just so damn bitchy.

I had a big crush on Dave growing up.ĬUR: Creepy without being overkill, plus creates an incredible atmosphere with years of history combined into a great quest for the treasure.ĬLK: The 30s gimmick worked so well! The music, the car, the lingo. Such a beautiful love story between the outlaw and the sheriff's daughter.

I also liked being able to go outside at night, the creepiness really amped up from that.ĬAR: Joy Trent has one of the best character arcs in the whole series and I cry like a little bitch every time.ĭDI: It made me seriously want to live on the West Coast. It introduced so many icons throughout the series (Koko Kringle, Sonny Joon) and I learned enough about the Maya to help me with two school projects.ĭOG: Mickey Malone sounded like such a ladykiller. The culprit reveal is phenomenal and really done fucked with my head. TRT: An ideal mix of history and mystery, combined with a beautiful snowy background.įIN: And This Time, It's Personal. MHM: One of the most iconic soundtracks of all the games, and the sneaky little scares throughout still give me the creeps. Suspects are so damn entertaining and it's a while before we see a cast quite like that again. STFD: It's /so/ 90s with the whole soap opera vibe. It was my first game and although there isn't another quite like it, it was enough to get me hooked. Murder, drug deals, kickass women in martial arts. They're all great for their own reasons! I'll list them off just so they can all get their moment in the spotlight:
